Q.  Aren’t you just another temp agency?

A.  No, we are not an employment agency or a temp agency service. Nor is our service meant to replace the services of an employment or temp agency. We are simply an alternative support option.

 

Q.  Why are your services “off site”?

A.  Administrative support is done off site so that you don’t have to stage an area for us. This also allows for the least amount of disruption to your office by not having someone “new” around to visit with.

 

Q.  How does your service differ from a temp agency?

A.  When you hire a temp service, usually you get a new person sent out. This requires that you spend on average the first hour or two showing them what you need and how you need it done. This can be the case each time you need the same task completed. Sometimes it’s done right, sometimes it not. But you waste time and money every time you have to start over with someone new. With Better Than A Temp you go over things once and that is it. You don’t have to “recreate the wheel” every time you need the same thing done.

 

Q.  What is a business concierge service?

A.  A concierge service is quite simply someone that will run the errands that you don’t have time for. Going to the post office, business supply runs, trips to Costco, shopping for/returning of items, and many other menial tasks that you just don’t want to or have time to do yourself.

 

Q.  What is your service area coverage?

A.  Currently we service the Anchorage bowl area including Elmendorf AFB, Fort Richardson, and Kulis ANG Base. Extended coverage is on a case by case basis. In the future we will be expanding service to the Mat Su Valley and Girdwood.

 

Q.  Do you charge for mileage?

A.  No, we do not currently charge for mileage and we do not believe in fuel surcharges. Our services are offered at a flat rate fee.

 

Q.  Why do you operate on a cell phone?

A.  Because a large portion of our business comes from being mobile it is more cost efficient than two phone numbers (land line & cell phone). By keeping our expenses down we are able to keep our rates down.

 

Q.  What are your billing terms?

A.  We appreciate payment at time of service, but will invoice billing when needed. Invoices are sent out via email each day and payment is due within 7 days to avoid late fees.

 

Q.  Why is your invoicing done via email?

A.  Because it is the most cost effective, efficient, and earth friendly way to bill.

 

Q.  What forms of payment do you accept?

A.  We accept major credit cards via PayPal, Company Check, Cash, and Money Orders.

 

Q.  What types of discounts do you offer?

A.  We first and foremost appreciate our military members and we offer a military discount (with valid military ID). We also offer discounted rates for non-profit organizations (with 501c3 certificate) and referral appreciation discounts. All discounts apply to service fees only, does not include products purchased.

 

Q.  What is a referral appreciation discount?

A.  The best compliment we can receive is a referral. When you refer us to another business and they purchase our services we say thank you for the referral by offering you 10% off the service rates the next time you call us. This is in addition to any other discount you may qualify for.
